Three things every prisoner learns here. The guards rotate out every eight months, and not one has ever rotated back in. The place moves — you can feel it shift, and there's no window to tell you where it's gone. And whatever it says on the paperwork, this is not a prison.
The cell blocks sit under a null field that severs any connection to the weave. It does not extend to the medical bay, and it does not extend above the lift.
It moves because it has engines. Those engines were killed in the opening minutes of the assault, hours before anyone in Pod Gamma-4 woke up.
